San Juan, Puerto Rico
April 28th thru May 2nd, 2004

We stayed at the Caribe Hilton.  This was the view from our hotel room.  Unfortunately, just off to the bottom right of the picture, they were doing construction so it was a little louder outside than we would have liked.

These are the pictures of around the pool and beach area of the hotel.

This is Koko and Poncho.  They live in the front lobby of the hotel.

We found plenty of fun activities around the pool.

We spent a day walking around Old San Juan.
The first pictures are of El Morro Fort.

This fort is San Cristobal.

The picture on the left is the Baccardi Distillery Plant and the picture on the right is cemetary (nice oceanfront eternity plot)

We saw the Puerto Rican Capital Building and the Church of Ponce De Leon.  There were a lot of statues and beautifully colored stucco buildings.

We took a day trip to El Yunque.  It is the only rain forest on US Territory.  Some of the people on our tour seemed surprised when they got caught in a rain storm while we were there.

There were a lot of great vegetation and flowers.

and wildlife.

Our tour guide was Yogi.  He was very knowledgeable about the rain forest and Puerto Rican culture.
