Our trip to Nags Head was a huge success (Thanks again Margaret). Here is the cast and crew that made it all possible.

Our house was located in the Seven Sisters Community of Nags Head at mile post 14. Click HERE for detailed info about the house. Myself, Jeff, Amy, Amanda, Jesse, Lisa, Gerald, Mark, Margaret, Mike, Amber, Sharon, Rob, Kevin, Ben and Sarah arrive in Nags Head around Noon, check-in wasn't until 4pm, so we set up our beach chairs in the parking lot and got to work on our vacation. The weather was beautiful. The sun was out and the temps were in the high 80s.
Everyone was very gung ho to get out to the beach early and get started on the tans. We rented 2 sea kayaks for the week and set up our pavilion tents to mark our beach area. Paula shows up. We got a full day at the beach with sunny skies and temps in the high 80s.
VERY early (5am) that morning, a group of us head out for some deep sea fishing. We caught 17 yellow-fin tuna weighing between 15 and 25 lbs each. After giving the captain (Dave) and first-mate Graham some of the fish and getting the rest cleaned, we brought home about 60-70 lbs of edible tuna. Needless to say, we will be eating tuna for a long time. We return to the beach house by 2pm. A little later that morning, the rest of the group heads for the beach. A couple people go parasailing. Myself, Amy, and Mark build a sand castle. Again, beautiful weather with partly cloudy skies and temps around 90. Temporary tattoos become the latest fashion symbols at the house. That night is Karaoke night at the beach house. None of us will ever forget Mike's 15 minutes rendition of "American Pie" or Jeff's poetic reading of "Oops, I Did It Again." Late that night, we take a walk down to the beach to check out the ocean, stars and our sand castle.
As a recurring theme starts to appear, people head for the beach.. Jesse, Kevin, Rob, Mike, Ben, and Mark go golfing. We find that our sand castle survived the tides (for the most part). Skies are clear with temps over 90. Conroy and Nuke show up. The group splits up for dinner as half go to the Weeping Radish and half go to the Outer Banks Steakhouse.
Back to the beach. We bring out the rafts. Again, sunny skies and temps in the 90s with a heat index over 100. Mark and Nuke head to the Wright Brothers Memorial. Gerald, Amber, Mike, and Margaret go see "The Lost Colony" while another group heads out and tries their hand at miniature golf.
Back to the beach. Mike and Amber build a small sand castle. Jeff decides to try to fly a kite. The engineers decide its time to REALLY build a sand castle. Once it's done, everyone waits for the tide to see if it will get destroyed. It survives for the most part except for a couple of edges. That night, we hit (and I mean HIT) the go carts.
Back to the beach for the final time. The weather finally turns against us as we get a thunderstorm during the afternoon. Gerald and Amanda get into a heated game of War while some people watch "Clueless" and "Con Air". Some people get in their last minute shopping. It clears up for the rest of the day. We take down the tents (a sad sign of things to come).
Sunday
Sadly, we all get up early to pack the cars and head home. I was too upset to take out the camera and document this.
The stories here are just one man's remembrance of an incredible week. The names have not been changed to protect the innocent (after all, who in this group is innocent). When I get more pictures and stories from everyone else, I will add to the story. Until then, enjoy.
