Venice:
June 12th through June 14th
Venice was everything you would expect it to be. We took a vaporetto (water bus) tour along the Grand Canal:
from the train station to San Marco. When we got off, we walked back through San Marco and saw St. Mark's Basilica, the Watch Tower:
the Rialto, Accademia, & Scalzi Bridges:
and all the side canals with the gondolas. Venice is a very nice city but make sure you have a good map or a lot of time because we got lost and had to back track more than once. The small streets and side canals seem to go in all directions but end in dead ends in more than a few places.
