Hurricane Isabel
September 2003

Well, we survived Hurricane Isabel.  We lost power for a total of about 4 hours over night but that was about it.  A lot of our friends were without power and/or water for a few days so we had a lot of company and our freezer was full of everyone else's ice cream and steaks.  :)  

We did have  a couple of tree issues.  Luckily, nothing was damaged.  The big tree in our front yard lost a major limb that happened to fall in the one place that wouldn't do any damage.  Any more to the west and it lands on the house, any more to the right and it lands on the road where we had a couple of cars.

The small tree next to our driveway blew over and rested onto the side of the garage but didn't do any damage.  My car was not parked in the spot it is during the pictures but did have a lot of small twigs and debris on it.

After watching hours of footage on the news, we decided to take some poses with the trees :)
